New Years Resolutions

I think it was Robert Fulghum who said that instead of making New Years resolutions, he liked to go through the things that he did the prior year and make a posted dated list of his accomplishments. Most years I would be right on board with him. I generally do a lot of stuff each year, but very little of it is stuff I earnestly set out to do that year. Last year was different, as I had a goal of finishing my B.S. in Psychology and gaining research experience in psychology. Both of which I have done and done well. I think my chances of getting into graduate school in psychology are greatly improved by these two accomplishments. For the last four years my main driving force has been getting in to graduate school. It’s nice to see those efforts coming to fruition. As for this year, my only resolution will be to continue to work towards getting in. If I do get I might make some mid- or late-year resolutions.

I have a few other minor goals, but almost all of them will take a back seat to the one above.

Happy New Year everyone!
